My Neighbor and I got to go for a ride with my Grandpa out through eastern Nevada. One of the really cool spots on the trip was Modena, Utah, This cool old town that my Grandpa would stop in back in the 40’s to grab a bite to eat. The water tower is the first thing that you see while driving up the highway, it was used to fill the steam powered locomotives with the water they needed.
This house is one of the 13 residences currently being lived in.
This neat looking old building was one of the finest hotels in the area (I didn’t see any others for 100 or so miles)
I’m not sure how old this building is, but I would guess that it is nearing the century mark.
This is the Modena School house. Check out the craftsmanship of the rock work.
The Swing set behind the school House
The floor and the chimney is the only parts left of this old building
The Last Chance Saloon, I guess the name says it all
Center Street Downtown Modena. I’ll have the next leg of the trip up tomorrow.
