Ok, Let me tell you a little about my self so you get a feel for my knowledge of shoes. I have been doing construction for the last 19 years, that means lots of walking. Due to the activities that go with construction I have several ruptured discs in my back and my heels hurt when I stand too long.
WORLD’S MOST ANATOMICAL Active Footwear is what Kuru is advertising, they have designed an active heel cup that molds to your heel (pretty neat).
Alright on to the review. I took these shoes to the Grand Canyon to see if this technology would work for an old construction dude with back and heal pain. First thing I noticed was the odd feeling in my heel when I was walking (not a bad feeling), I noticed that the arch support felt different than any shoe or insert I had used before. After walking about a mile or so I got used to all these new feelings and thought “so far my heels nor my back hurts, pretty good shoes”.
I toured around taking pictures and checking out the various sites and creatures the place had to offer (pain free) for a couple hours and I decided I like these shoes.
The next day I walked around looking at the sites of Jacob Lake (beautiful by the way), same thing, my heels didn’t hurt. For somebody that has had this pain in the heel for over a decade, its awesome when it is not there.
All and all I would say that the week or two that I have been wearing the Cirques they have stopped my heel pain and I think they helped my back too. I would say that Kuru has this Anatomical active thing figured out.
Now here’s the cool part, go buy you a pair of Kuru’s and when you check out there will be a line that askes for a promotional code, type in pensiveblog and Kuru will give you 10% off of your purchase (thanks guys).
Thanks for reading my first gear review!
