Jack-O-Lantern by:Tara

by wude72 on October 6, 2009

Just in time for Halloween, Jack-O-lantern is a very fun book for the little ones.

This is a little different from the other  books by Tara, it has words.

Jack-O-Lantern tells about all the steps of making a jack o lantern.  From picking the pumpkin to lighting the candle.

My little one has enjoyed this book very much (I’m not sure how many times he has asked to go to the pumpkin patch).  The really cool thing is that he now tells me the story (he just turned 3).  He will get the book and tell me he is going to read it to me.  He points to the pictures and makes up his own story (it’s pretty close to what is on the pages) and tells me about the pumpkins and what they do and why.

Judging by my son’s reaction to the book, I would say Tara has done a great job.  The boy asks a lot of questions and and we talk about what is going on in the pictures, just what Tara wanted to happen.
